Das l&#246;st Emotionen aus, als sei es eine Oscar-Preisverleihung. Fehlen nur noch Widmungsworte an Mama und Familie. Das bleibt einem meist bei solchen Veranstaltungen der Neuen Musik erspart. Was an Arbeit und Erm&#246;glichung dahintersteckt, bleibt meistens verborgen. &#214;ffnet man die <a href=\"http:\/\/www.landesmusikakademie-sondershausen.de\/kompositionsstipendium.html\" target=\"_blank\">diesj&#228;hrige Ausschreibung f&#252;r das Sondersh&#228;user Kompositionsstipendium<\/a>, welches zwei Ausgew&#228;hlte mit Urauff&#252;hrungen ihrer Orchesterwerke begl&#252;ckt, sieht man mehrere Seiten des Aufwandes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Das Loh-Orchester Sondershausen stellt sich samt Dirigent und Auff&#252;hrung in einem seiner Konzerte zur Verf&#252;gung.<\/li>\n<li>Ein lokaler Sponsor f&#246;rdert das ganze Projekt.<\/li>\n<li>Die Th&#252;ringer Landesmusikakademie Sondershausen stellt sich als Enstehungsort f&#252;r die Komposition zur Verf&#252;gung.<\/li>\n<li>Eine Jury w&#228;hlt aus den Einreichungen aus.<\/li>\n<li>Zwei Komponistinnen oder Komponisten schreiben am Ende dieser Vorl&#228;ufe als Auserkorene ihre Orchesterst&#252;cke.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Belohnt wird dies mit zwei Aufenthaltsstipendien zu je 5000 Euro. Nehmen wir nun eines genauer unter die Lupe: 3500 Euro gehen davon an die Landesmusikakademie Sondershausen, 1500 Euro verbleiben konkret in der Hand des Komponisten oder der Komponistin, als Geld zur freien Verf&#252;gung w&#228;hrend des dreimonatigen Aufenthalts in der Landesmusikakademie. Im Kursprogramm der Akademie kostet z.B. ein Einzelzimmer f&#252;r drei Tage 115 Euro, pro Tag rund 38 Euro, mal dreissig Tage im Monat sind dies 1150 Euro, mal drei Monate 3450 Euro, also nicht ganz der Teil des Stipendiums, der bei der Landesmusikakademie verbleibt. Der Komponist erh&#228;lt 1500 Euro, geteilt durch drei die Monate seines Aufenthalts 500 Euro pro Monat. Mag die Kostendeckung f&#252;r die Landesmusikakademie plausibel sein, wobei die Frage erlaubt sei, ob nicht bei einem solch langem Aufenthalt ein Rabatt m&#246;glich w&#228;re, also man auch mit 2500-3000 Euro zurecht k&#228;me, reicht sie f&#252;r den Komponisten nicht aus. Es geht aus der Ausschreibung z.B. nicht hervor, ob Reisekosten getragen werden. Dazu kommen die pers&#246;nlichen Umst&#228;nde eines jeden Komponisten, z.B. doppelte Haushaltsf&#252;hrung. Nicht jeder wird es zustande bringen, seine heimische Wohnung dauerhaft zwischen zu vermieten, nicht jeder Job, z.B. eine kleiner Lehrauftrag, kann in der Zeit aufgegeben werden, wobei sich in solch einem Fall wieder die Fahrtkostenfrage stellen w&#252;rde. Dazu kommt die Frage, ob 500 Euro wirklich so grossz&#252;gig sind, bedenkt man, dass der Hartz-IV-Regelsatz nur etwas mehr als 100 Euro f&#252;r eine alleinstehende Person darunterliegt. Mag auch f&#252;r Unterbringung und Vollverpflegung gesorgt sein, das erinnert ein wenig an die sogenannten \u201eAufstocker\u201c, die zu wenig verdienen, um ohne Sozialleistungen zu &#252;berleben und trotz einiger Anrechungsboni seitens der Sozialbeh&#246;rde wieder durch den Einsatz des Restverdienstes um ihrer H&#228;nde Arbeit gebracht werden. Der monatliche Betrag von 500 Euro geht also nur gut, wenn man kinderlos ist und Hotel Mama rettend hinter einem steht.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Aber dies nimmt man alles klaglos in Kauf, da es um die Urauff&#252;hrung eines Orchesterwerks geht, eine verf&#252;hrerische Herausforderung f&#252;r jeden Berufsanf&#228;nger. Wenn das Werk nun vollendet ist, verk&#252;ndet die Ausschreibung, dass immerhin die GEMA-Kosten durch das Orchester getragen werden. Dies ist eigentlich eine Selbstverst&#228;ndlichkeit: wer Musik spielt, deren Sch&#246;pfer noch nicht l&#228;nger als siebzig Jahre verstorben sind, muss GEMA-Geb&#252;hren zahlen. Punkt. Und klar, wenn der Komponist oder die Komponistin Mitglieder der GEMA ist, wird diese Person auch von dieser ihre Tantiemen f&#252;r die St&#252;ckauff&#252;hrung erhalten. Auch dies ist ein Muss. Punkt. Und kein Ersatz f&#252;r nicht m&#246;gliche Honorare oder Stipendienh&#246;hen.<\/p>\n<p>Der Hammer verbirgt sich allerdings hinter den Orchestermaterialkosten, die der Komponist selbst zu tragen hat. Das heisst, bekommt er f&#252;r die Komposition nur 1500 Euro \u2013 was nicht einmal die angemessene H&#228;lfte eines Honorars nach der <a href=\"http:\/\/www.femusik.de\/schreiben\/dkv_honrichtlinie_emusik2004.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">alten 2004er-Honorarrichtlinie des Komponistenverbandes<\/a> ohne Anpassungen an die heutigen Verh&#228;ltnisse ist, das Stipendium oder Honorar in der Hinsicht mindestens 3500 Euro betragen sollte \u2013 , so muss er die Materialkosten, im g&#252;nstigsten Falle zwischen 300 bis 400 Euro nach der Besetzung des Lohorchesters, ohne Schreibhonorar obendrein selbst tragen. Nachdem das Stipendium selbst nicht f&#252;r das Lebenswerk ausgeschrieben ist, sondern eine konkrete Gegenleistung voraussetzt, ist es wohl zudem voll versteuerungspflichtig. Ausserdem nicht die Kosten f&#252;r die Sozialversicherungen zu vergessen. Um beim Hartz-IV-Aufstocker zu bleiben: da sind Steuern und Versicherungskosten bereits abgef&#252;hrt! Dazu kommt eine weitere unentgeltliche Einbringung in das Kulturleben der Landesmusikakademie.<\/p>\n<p>Was ist nun zu tun? Das muss jede teilnehmende Person selbst f&#252;r sich berechnen, ob sie diese Leistungen f&#252;r den entstehenden Aufwand in Kauf nehmen kann und will. Was die Ausschreiber machen k&#246;nnten:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Die 50 Euro, die zwischen der monatlichen Einzelzimmerbelegung von 3450 Euro und dem Akademieanteil am Stipendium liegen, den Stipendiaten zukommen lassen.<\/li>\n<li>Das Stipendium auf 1000 Euro pro Monat erh&#246;hen oder statt zwei Stipendien nur noch eines ausschreiben.<\/li>\n<li>Beide Stipendien beibehalten und die Komponisten zuhause komponieren lassen, abgesehen von 1-3 &#246;ffentlichkeitswirksamen Terminen im Umfeld der Landesmusikakademie oder des Loh-Orchesters.<\/li>\n<li>Auf alle F&#228;lle Reiskosten &#252;bernehmen und die Herstellungskosten des Orchestermaterials ordentlich begleichen. Ist der Komponist ohne Verlag, steht ihm die Leihgeb&#252;hr zu.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Wie immer die Ausschreiber vorgehen m&#246;gen: eine Neuausrichtung tut Not!
